2023 Dirty Weekend

The BicycleSA Dirty Weekend, South Australias only 24 hour mountain bike event,  is back again after hiatus due to Covid and what an epic event it was!
The event consists of varying classes battling in different race lengths and team sizes around the 8km track throughout the picturesque Fox Creek Mountain Bike Park. 
From the 3 hour E-Bike class to the 24 hour class theres an option for everyone who wants to get involved. 

There was a great turn out including our very own BicyclesMTB race team competing in the 24 Hour 4 Man category consisting of Harrison Kincaid, David Crouch, Matty Pearce & Kym Clothier. 
BicyclesMTB was also there supporting the event with mechanical repairs, spare parts sales and tune ups.

The weather for the weekend couldn't have been better, the sun was out with a bit of a chill overnight creating perfect riding conditions.

The race started and finished with Dave Crouch and we pretty quickly settled in second position and stayed there for the majority of the event, and eventually falling into third position to the finish with only 11 minutes between first place and BicyclesMTB in third. 
The team averaged lap times between 30-35 minutes and completed 41 laps over the 24 hour period. 

The team is looking forward to the event in 2024 and we're hoping to reach that top position with a bit more training.
